DDI Graphic Design - Introduction
by Ivan on Aug.12, 2010, under Blog
First off I would like to thank the fans that have been with us from the beginning with their support and constructive criticism. I would also like to welcome our new fans as we launch our first game through Drop Dead Interactive LLP with the ever growing title “Light The Skies”.
As some of you may already know I am the Lead Artist here at DDI. My experience comes from a lifetime hobby and most recently freelancing. We have been very fortunate with the great help we have received in the graphics department during this rough transition into a former company. I am pleased to say that we now have a great graphic design team. Chris Scott-Blore delivers his ingenious ideas with great stories and character development. Michael Falzon brings light to the mix with his amazing interpretation of the designers vision and a natural smooth talent in his art. Then of course myself, appointed to give the art direction in style and technicality along with the art design.
In our first release for Light The Skies we have already undergone many art design changes but thanks to Chris we now have a great setting and storyline to go with it. This has allowed us to create great visuals for the story and provided a solid theme of graphics throughout the entire game. With the new backgrounds created by Michael and an official HUD (Head-Up Display) the game has taken a great leap in development. The new menu screen is easier on the eyes along with the ongoing theme, and the same ease of navigation. The final bosses are coming together, and multiplayer visuals are nearly complete.
Well this is just a basic introduction to DDI graphics. Please join me in future blogs where I hope to share a little more about graphic design here at drop dead interactive.
Cheers!
